I guess YG's marketing strategy really paid it's dividends. To round things up I'm just going to say that BP got to the point where it doesn't really matter what they release because people in general are so starved that they'll consume it anyways. It teases you and you kinda expect a sick drop at some point, but it never arrives and it feels super anticlimactic when they finish the song all of a sudden and you are left disappointed. Another thing I hate is how the pacing seems to be similar to KTL. But now the lines just went to Lisa and she just repeats them mindlessly "Now look at you, now look at me" and it gets boring really fast. I think it's a really nice bridge and I still hate that the upcoming part didn't live up to it. I really liked how they used those lines the first time with that sick guitar. Next up is how they ruined what was, for my money, the best part of KILL THIS LOVE, Jisoo's "look at me, look at you". "bada bing bada boom, boom, boom"? Really? That's the best they could come up with? Maybe back in 2016 that did the trick, but in 2020 I think it's kind of silly to be doing the same thing. I was kinda expecting 'KILL THIS LOVE 2.0' based on the teasers, but I would say it's closer to something like 'BOOMBAYAH 2.0'. For starters, it felt like of rip-off of their existing songs, which is really concerning considering they don't have that many to begin with. (The obvious joke to make here would be "As if it's your last") It's them literally just milking their first "full length album" till the last drop.

Let's get this straight, YG releasing 3 singles isn't them finally doing 'things right' or 'making up for all the time lost'. Due to a planned power outage on Friday, 1/14, between 8am-1pm PST, some services may be impacted. It's the first release in +1 year, yet people are okay if they don't like it because there is "more to come". And I just think this is such a bad mindset to have. I've seen that a lot of the people disliking "How you like that" are dismissing it by saying "oh, it doesn't matter, it's just a pre-release single" or "I'm just happy we get something after all this time".

I'm not directing this to the 'hardcore' fanbase, because I've seen this as well with people that just listen to them casually.Īnyway, moving on. Notice how I say "BLACKPINK fans" instead of "BLINKS". First of all, and I really wish I didn't need to state this, but people generally have awful reading comprehension skills.
